Corriegarth Wind Farm

Environmental Services during Construction and Operational phases of a wind farm

Corriegarth Wind Farm

Nevis was contracted in 2014 to provide environmental support to Invenergy for the construction of Corriegarth Wind Farm, including the erection of twenty-three 70 MW turbines and associated tracks and infrastructure.

Construction commenced in 2014, during which time Nevis implemented the Habitat Management Plan including providing on site environmental support, including Environmental Clerk of Works, water quality monitoring, protected species surveys, and breeding bird surveys. Nevis also planned and implemented a 60Ha area of peatland restoration, which included a programme of ditch and gully blocking and re-profiling and was completed in 2016.

Nevis continues to provide environmental support to Greencoat Wind for the site and is responsible for the implementation of the Habitat Management Plan and all associated monitoring whilst the wind farm is operational. The project is also involved with the Regional Eagle Conservation Management Plan which includes community engagement and education work.
